Cake Drop
This project explores the end-to-end mobile app design process, from wireframing and prototyping to final UI mockups. By combining interaction design principles with visual design foundations, I developed a cohesive mobile interface while strengthening my understanding of digital workflows, iteration, and user-centered design.

Problem :
Ordering custom cakes can be frustrating and time-consuming. Customers often struggle to clearly communicate their design ideas, flavors, and decorations, which can lead to misunderstandings and disappointing results. Many cake delivery platforms also lack personalization, making the experience feel generic rather than creative.
There was a need for a simple, interactive mobile solution that allows users to design their own cakes while ensuring their exact vision is delivered.
Solution :
Cake Drop is a mobile cake delivery app that allows users to build their own cake directly within the app by selecting size, flavor, icing, decorations, and finishing details. Once completed, the custom design is sent for preparation and delivered exactly as created.
The app was designed using a structured digital workflow, beginning with wireframes to map user flows, followed by prototyping to test interactions, and finalized through UI mockups in Photoshop. Design decisions were guided by Interaction Design principles, colour theory, typography, and UI fundamentals to create a fun, intuitive, and user-friendly experience.
Challenge :
Designing an intuitive cake-building interface without overwhelming users
Maintaining clear visual hierarchy across multiple customization screens
Balancing playful visuals with usability
Applying all six design modules consistently throughout the project
Iterating layouts and interactions during prototyping to improve user flow
